New Zealand to Vanuatu

 We ventured out of Opua on the biggest fishing expedition yet... and we weren't disapointed! 

Two days into our passage on SY Synchronicity we got a double hookup of skip jack. Ewwww you may say, i just throw them back! Well if you havent had tuna for a while its very appetising! And even if you have its still delicious!

After multiple sail changes, flying fish landing on the boat in the middle of the night and two days later, Dudley gaffed a Mahimahi. OMG, the gaff snapped in half and we saw it bobbing up and down over the waves as we continued north.

Lucky the Mahi was still on the hook and we just hauled it on board.

After countless fish and many miles later we arrived in Port Resolution, Tanna, Vanuatu! 

To keep the kids enterrained, we gave them some air dry clay to model into turtles
